Marico Oog Natural Pond

What makes the Marico Oog so exquisite is the fact that the water is crystal clear and the visibility is often in excess of 20 meters. The pool is covered by floating water lilies with stems that trail away lazily to the bottom. The bottom of the pool is covered with a broad-leaved plant that gives the impression of swimming over a lush green carpet. The water is relatively cold but seldom drops below 18 degrees Celsius. In summer the water temperature can rise up to 24 degrees Celsius for a very comfortable dive. Various species of fish are found hiding amongst the stems of the water lilies, water eels, bass, kurper and the Marico ‘gillemientjie’.

Pretoria Accommodation offers a selection of accommodation options in Pretoria, South Africa. Pretoria Accommodation offer luxury Self Catering accommodation, Guesthouses and Elstree Mansions. Pretoria, the administrative capital of South Africa, lies about 50 km north of Johannesburg. The population of about one million people consists of students, government workers, embassy staff and new families who have moved to Pretoria – a city that has become attractive to many because of its cosmopolitan spirit and wonderful accommodation venues.
The best time for a visit to the Jacaranda City is in Spring, when more than 70,000 Jacaranda trees are in full bloom. Then the whole town is one big purple-coloured and sweet-smelling sea of blossoms. The exotic trees were imported from South America some 100 years ago.
